Compact geometry · custom steel manufacture
A compact turn.
A considered fit.
A centre-column spiral staircase arranges treads around a central support. It can be considered where a compact stair form is desired, but usable tread space, headroom, access and the building’s requirements must be reviewed for the specific layout.
Project-specific geometry, structure and finishes.

Before choosing the form
The footprint
is one part of the decision.
A small opening alone does not establish that a spiral stair is suitable. Discuss the users, daily circulation, items that must pass through and the supporting structure before fixing the diameter or tread arrangement.
Opening and travel
Confirm the floor opening, start and finish positions, direction of rotation and finished floor levels.
Treads and headroom
Review the walking route, clear width and headroom in the actual plan and section with your project team.
Support and use
Resolve the base, upper connection and surrounding structure. Ask the local designer to confirm suitability for the intended building use.
Make the scope clear
From concept
to fabrication.
| Design input | What to resolve |
|---|---|
| Geometry | Floor height, opening, rotation, entry and exit positions and landing arrangement. |
| Steelwork | Centre support, tread fabrication, base and upper interfaces, connection locations and shipping sections. |
| Finishes and protection | Tread finish, handrail and balustrade, internal or external exposure and agreed coating system. |
| Installation | Site access, lifting method, assembly sequence, anchor responsibility and local inspection. |
The approved drawing and project scope define the staircase. A reference photograph alone does not define its dimensions or support system.

Inside manufacturingYour questions
Spiral staircases
in practice.
Is a helical stair the same as a spiral stair?
The terms are used differently across the industry. Here, “helical and curved” describes a broader, flowing curve, often around an open well; “spiral” generally refers to a compact stair around a central support. Send a reference image so the discussion starts from the form you mean.
Can a spiral staircase be used as the main stair?
Suitability depends on the building use, local rules and the proposed geometry. Ask your project designer or local approving professional to review the layout before ordering. BUBUJIA does not offer one universal diameter or specification for every project.
What should I send for an initial proposal?
Share the project country and city, building use, floor-to-floor height, available opening and any plans, photographs or reference images. Let us know your target dates and whether you have a local contractor. Production starts from confirmed site dimensions and approved drawings.
How is a custom staircase priced?
Geometry, size, structure, materials, finish and installation scope all affect the price. Compare the same items: steel structure, treads, balustrade, surface finish, packing, logistics and installation. We prepare a project quotation after reviewing your information.
Available for export supply. BUBUJIA accepts overseas custom staircase orders. Drawing coordination, manufacture, trial assembly, packing and site support are agreed for your project.
