At Shanghecheng in Liuyang, a spiral-form staircase winds around an illuminated central element beneath a broad canopy. BUBUJIA’s project record connects the canopy concept with Liuyang’s firework-making identity.
The tree-like central element and spreading canopy give the stair a distinct silhouette. Rather than treating the stair as an isolated flight, the design brings the rising route and the overhead form into one composition.
The photograph shows the staircase with development works beyond it. It records the form and its surroundings at that stage. This is a large custom design; it is a reference for a spiral architectural expression rather than a compact standard staircase kit.
A canopy and a stair introduce several connected decisions: the overall envelope, the usable route, structural interfaces, lighting and the sequence of assembly. These need to be developed together with the project team before manufacture.
