Consider the details.

An open well, framed by steel

The curved stair sides create a continuous line around the well. Dark treads contrast with the warm surface colour, while the central light gives a second point of reference within the space. The overall view and closer photograph show how the stair relates to the finished interior.

Developing the visible surfaces

The existing project record describes work on the curved surface transitions and junctions. For a similar design, the important decisions include panel divisions, the line of the top edge, the finish sample and the relationship between the inner and outer curves.

A reference for a new marketing centre

Start with the visitor route, floor levels, opening and intended arrival point. Coordinate the stair with lighting, ceiling and floor finishes so the drawing describes both the shape and its surrounding interfaces.
